Bubba, an oilfield worker, died at his residence on Monday, Nov. 23, 1987, around 6 p.m., from a gunshot wound. He lived in Pleasant Hill, La. most of his life. He was born on Feb. 8, 1957, in Converse Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Lanay Cobbs of Mansfield; two sons, Chris Cobbs of Shreveport, and Brandon Cobbs of Mansfield; one daughter, Charlene Cobbs of Mansfield; his parents, Charles and Mary Cobbs of Pleasant Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Donnie and Evelyn Barnard of Coushatta; two nieces, Tonya, and Kim Barnard of Coushatta, La. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mrs. Myrtis Cobbs Jimerson, and Ida Brewster; hie grandfathers, Claude Cobbs, Bill Jimerson, and Willie Brewster.
