J. B. Cheves

  Joseph Bruce Cheves, 71, died Oct 1, in Alexandria's Veteran
Hospital.

  Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Jerald Wells of
Alexandria; one brother, Monnie T. Cheves of Natchitoches; three
sisters, Miss Stella Cheves of Natchitoches, Mrs. John B. Nash of
Many, Mrs. Malcome N. Cappell of Lafayette; four grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, in the
Blanchard Funeral Home in Natchitoches, with the Rev. H. W.
Weller officiating.

  Burial was in the Forrest Park Cemetery.
