The services were held in St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gremillion officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Warren Meadows Funeral Home in charge. Survivors are one son, George C. Cobbs Jr. of Jena; three daughters, Mrs. William Paul, Bryan, Mrs. William Andries, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Kermit Youngblood of Monroe; one brother, Gandy Davis of Burkeville, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Larry Locke of Shreveport, Mrs. Harry A. Delhomme of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. C. J. Hubley of Many; 15 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons.
