Copeland (Photo) Funeral services for Jewell S. Copeland, 81, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 21, at Warren Meadows Chapel. Officiating were Rev. Dean Smith, and Rev. Bob Spear. Interment were in Prewitts Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Copeland passed away on October 18, 1994, at St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling, La. Mrs. Copeland was a longtime resident of Many, and later moved to Destrehan in 1990. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 26, at 4 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Norco, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Copeland. Survivors are a daughter, Barbara Bush of Many; two granddaughters and their husband, Karen Longfellow Stone and Andy Stone of Laurel, Md., and Lisa Longfellow Weinell and David Weinell of Destrehan, La.; three great grandchildren, Katie, Drew, and William; two brothers, Fred Spears, and E. D. Spears; two sisters, Edna James, and Katherine Coulter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
