A. B. Cavanaugh

  Ariel B. Cavanaugh, 60, of Leesville, died early Saturday morning,
in a Leesville hospital, following a brief illness.

  Mr. Cavanaugh was the Vernon Parish tax assessor for 28 years.

  Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, in the
Castor Baptist Church, with the Rev. B. G. Dyess officiating,
assisted by the Rev. Hall Prewitt. Burial was in the Castor
Cemetery, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.

  His brother, the Rev. Avon Cavanaugh, was the pastor of the Florien
Baptist Church for several years.
