Roy Dowden and Rev. J. D. Brown officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Caveness, 79, of Hornbeck, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 1994 in Hornbeck. Mr. Caveness was a native of Booneville, MS. He was retired from the US Army after serving in WW II and Korea, member of VFW Florien Memorial Post and Vice President of Hornbeck Optimus Club, a devoted member. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Marie Caveness of Hornbeck, three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice West of Denham Springs, Mrs. J. W. "Evelyn" Ashmore of Boonesville, MS, and Mrs. Agnes Moreland of Boonsville, MS.
