Funeral services were held Thursday in the Springridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willis Greer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Stevenson, and the Rev. Frank Chance. Burial was in the Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include his widow; four sons, Joseph B. Chapman Jr. of Sulphur, Druce Chapman of Mansfield, Jimmy Chapman of Baton Rouge, and Harold Wendell Chapman of Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. Inez McCullor of Sulphur, Mrs. Vera Bridges of Lake Charles, Mrs. Maxine Cook of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Lena Craig of Marthaville; 22 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Heidleberg, and Mrs. Annie Chapman, both of Dallas.
