Cooper, 88, of Belmont, died in Many, on Sunday, March 17, at 4:20 a.m., following an extended illness. Cooper is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jennie Cooper of Belmont; two brothers, Blackmon Cooper of Mexia, Tex., and Joe Tramel Cooper of Belmont; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wiley of Terrell, Tex., Mrs. Winnie Mooney of Marshall, Tex., and Mrs. Ida Burr of Zwolle. Funeral services were held in the Belmont Baptist Church on Monday, March 18, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. J. P. King officiating. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Morris Adair, Cecil Tooke, Jimmy Peterson, Joe Edward Skinner, R. A. Haley, and Huey Austins.
