Joe T. Cooper

  Joe T. Cooper, 82, died at his residence in Belmont, Thursday,
Dec. 24.

  Funeral services were held at Union Baptist Church in Belmont,
Saturday, Dec. 26, at 11 a.m. Interment was at Belmont, Saturday,
Dec. 26, at 11 a.m. Interment was at Belmont Cemetery, under the
supervision of Rev. Johnny Garret, and Rev. Guy Burr.

  Pallbearers were Glen Howard, Billy Maxie, Joel Webb, George
Patton, Joe Patton, and Charles Bullard.

  Mr. Cooper is survived by his widow, Lilly Cooper of Belmont; a
son, Rick Cooper of Belmont; a daughter, Elvie Patton of Many; a
brother, Blackmon Cooper of Mexia, Tex.; three sisters, Meffie
Wiley of Houston, Tex., Winnie Mooney of Marshall, Tex., and Ida
Barr of Zwolle; three grandchildren; and four great
grandchildren.
