Services were conducted at 11 a.m., at the Hornbeck Assembly of God Church, on Wednesday, February 15, 1989, with the Rev. Cecil Janway, Doyle English, and Ted Cabra officiating. Burial was at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Hornbeck, La., under the direction of Beauregard Vernon Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Cabra was a native of Hornbeck, La., and a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from January 1942, until October 1945. He retired from his job as Post Master of the Post Office in Hornbeck, La., and was an active member of the Assembly of God Church, having served as Bible teacher, song leader, and in whatever capacity that was needed. He is survived by his wife, Thaney Cabra of Hornbeck; two stepdaughters, Patricia Juneau of Moreauville, La., and Ruth Jones of Hornbeck; one brother, Lane Cabra of Hornbeck; one step granddaughter, Leah Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.
