Cooper, 77, of Gloster, La., died at South Park Hospital in Shreveport, on Feb. 10, 1989. Services were held at Warren Meadows Chapel, on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Carter Olds, and Rev. Stan McGee officiating. Burial was at Bethsadia Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Cooper was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Stonewall, La. He was born in Many, on Dec. 19, 1911. He was retired from K.C.S. Railroad in 1974. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Jackson Cooper of Gloster; three sons, Harold Cooper of Marshall, Tex., Don Cooper of China Springs, Tex., and Fred Cooper of Shreveport; two daughters, Mary Cooper of Gloster, and Wanda Cooper of Dallas, Tex.; four sisters, Viola McGee of Shreveport, Edna Cutwright of Many, Lorie Greer of Zwolle, and Agnes Gunter of Mansfield; two brothers, J. W. Cooper of Mansfield, and Bobby Cooper of Florien; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; and many dear friends. Pallbearers included Paul Tyler, Johnnie Mays, Jerry Parks, Dr. Harold King, Frank Zellner, and Don Mangum.
