Cooper - February 25, 1988 Services for Mr. Grover T. Cooper, 66, of Shreveport were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 21, at Baptist Tabernacle with the pastor, Rev. Jimmy Tharpe, officiating. Assisting was the Rev. Morris Robe of Longview, Texas. Burial was at Bethsadia Cemetery near Many, under the direction of Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Mr. Cooper died Friday, February 19, 1988, at Schumpert Medical Center following a short illness. A native of Many, he had lived in Shreveport since 1956, he was a retired electrician with Norton Thiokol, Inc., was a member of Baptist Tabernacle and a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Eugene Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Driver T. Cooper of Shreveport; two sons, David Alan Cooper and wife Kim of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., William P. Teague and wife Dorothy of Keithville, La.; six daughters, Vicky Lynn Stephens and husband Clyde and Elizabeth Anne Addison and husband, Joe, all of Henderson, Texas, Marily Ruth Shovan and husband Gary, Linda Carole Schellinger and husband, Donald, and Elizabeth Diannne Teague, all of Shreveport, Patricia T. Martin and husband James of Spring, Texas; four sisters, Viola Horn of Shreveport, Agnes Gunter of Mansfield, Lorie Greer of Zwolle, Edna Cutwright of Many; three brothers, Clifton Cooper of Keatchie, J. W. Cooper of Mansfield, Bobby Lee Cooper of Florien; 10 grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
