Cooper, at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 2, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Officiating will be Leroy Hudson, former minister of the Carriage Oaks Church of Christ, where Mr. Cooper was a member. Graveside services were held at Bethsadia Cemetery. Mr. Cooper of Bossier City, formerly of Many, died Thursday, July 31. He was born in Many, on September 7, 1921, and resided in Bossier City for many years. Mr. Cooper was retired from Civil Service at Barksdale Air Force Base, and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He participated in the campaigns in Sicily, Italy, and North Africa. He is survived by his widow, Ocie Sistrunk Cooper; two sons?, Ronnie Cooper of Fayetteville, Ga., and Larry Cooper of Shreveport; one daughter, Barbara Patterson of North Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Vester Cooper of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. Cooper, and Carlie Bennett Cooper; two brothers, Elwood, and Arnold Cooper of Lake Charles; and sister, Vera Ardoin of Iowa. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the many doctors, nurses, and staff of Bossier Medical Center, for their loving care during his lengthy illness. Special thanks is extended to Frances Bryan, and Renee Tucker, nursing supervisors at Bossier Medical Center.
