Coburn, 84, of Beatheville, Kentucky passed away of an apparent heart attack on Oct. 16. Rev. Coburn served as pastor of the Montona Ave. Church of the Nazarene (Formerly Mt. Adams Church of the Nazarene) in Cincinnati, Ohio for 36 years. After his retirement 16 years ago, he had moved to Beathyville Kentucky, where he has been involved in serving as supply and interim pastor for several churches in the area. He also served as Chaplin in the Nursing Home in Jackson, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Alpha Seppe Coburn; two brothers, Maj. (retired) Truman John Coburn of Decatuer, Georgia, and Dr. Thurman E. Coburn of Bethany, Oklahoma; two sisters, Annie Mae Chandler of Florien, and Wilma E. Whaley of Louisville, Kentucky. Rev. Gary True, pastor of Beathyville Church of the Nazarene, and Rev. James Brunk, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Booneville, Kentucky, conducted the memorial service at the Beathyville Church of the Nazarene. Serving as pallbearers were his nephews. Interment was in the Combs Cemetery in Beathyville, Kentucky.
