Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Leesville, with interment following at Mitchell Cemetery in Hornbeck. Mr. Coburn was born in Many, and was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. He was a member, and held various positions of many organizations, including Past President of Leesville Lions Club, Past District Governor of Louisiana Lions Club, Past President of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, a member of VFW, and the American Legion. He was an Advertising Representative for Classic Cable for 25 years. Survivors include his widow, Elke Coburn of Leesville; one daughter, Brandi Kuykendall of Fort Polk; two brothers, James Coburn of San Antonio, Texas, and Hilton "Shorty" Coburn of Leesville; and three grandchildren, John, Alicia, and Megan Kuykendall.
