All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Guyrene Cheek Funeral services for Guyrene Cheek, 87, of Timpson, Texas were held Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. in the Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson with the Rev. Ed Barlow officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. She died Sunday, Oct. 26 in a nursing home in Longview, Texas. Mrs. Cheek was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on Saturday, Oct. 25, 1910. She was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Timpson and was active in several organizations. Mrs. Cheek and her husband, Houston, lived in Many for many years. She was owner of the Unique Shop and was active member of the First Baptist Church and several local organizations. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Guy and Mary Anne Cheek of Longview and Tom and Chee Chee Cheek of Richardson; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Archie Williams of Longview; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cheek was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Cheek. Memorials may be made to the Woodlawn Cemetery Fund (P. 0. 369) or the Calvary Baptist Church in Timpson, 75975.
