Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Many with interment following at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Henderson, pastor of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, officiated. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Anders and husband, Earl of Florien, Judy Cook of Many and Sammie McFerrin and husband, Glenn of Lafayette; one sister, Audrey Eason of Rio Dell, Calif.; 11 grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; and a very special granddaughter, Cindy Jo Watson of Zwolle. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Miami Cook; his wife, Lillian C. Cook; step-son, Acie O'Banion; two brothers; and three sisters. Pallbearers were Jack Akins Joey Burleigh, Mark Burleigh Jerry Smith, Glenn McFerrin and Earl Anders. Honorary pallbearer was Charlie Taylor. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Many, La.
