The Sabine Index - Luther Calvin Cook

  20 Sep 1973 - Luther Calvin Cook, 82, of Rt. 2 Florien, died
on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m., after a short illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Cook, of Florien, a
daughter, Mrs. Roy Jordan, Florien; two brothers, Hamp Cook and
George Cook, both of Florien; a sister, Mrs. Frank Miller, of
Shreveport, 3 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the
Antioch Baptist Church of Florien, at 4 p.m.  Rev. Harold Dunn
officiated.  Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery with the Deacons
of the Antioch Baptist Church serving as pallbearers.
