Cook is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Cook of Florien; one son, Calvin Cook of Florien; one daughter Marlene Mixon of Shreveport; one brother, Hamp Cook of Florien; one sister, Lovie Miller of Shreveport; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 in the Antioch Baptist Church. The Rev. Harold Dunn and the Rev. Logan Skiles officiated. The Deacons of the Antioch Church who served as pallbearers were: R. J. Rousseau, Donald Funderburk, R. T. Miller, Monroe Randolph, J. D. Salter and C. R. Anthony. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Anthony and Roy Jordan. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
