Cox James Edward Cox, 76 of Coushatta, died Tuesday, May 1. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 3, in the Rose Neath Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Brumley, and the Rev. Glover Smith officiating. Burial was in the Union Hall Cemetery. Survivors include his wife; one son, Charles Edward Cox of Coushatta; two daughters, Mrs. James Brown of Shreveport, and Mrs. Dennis Layfield of Aiken, S. C.; four sisters, Mrs. Etta Mae Carlisle of Coushatta, Mrs. Sid Collum of Coushatta, Mrs. Otis Morrison of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Mattie Cox of Coushatta; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
