"Dub" Cox, 49, of Powhatan, died Tuesday, June 18, in a Shreveport hospital, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 20, in the First Methodist Church of Natchitoches, with the Rev. Henry Blount, and the Rev. Dwight St. Andre officiating. Burial was in Memory Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors include his wife, mother, Mrs. Annie R. Cox of Natchitoches; four brothers, J. H. Cox, Poyet Cox, Charles C. Cox, and Lucian Cox, all of Natchitoches; three sisters, Mrs. Archie Clark of Natchitoches, Mrs. Frank Sharf of Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. John W. Moore Jr. of Pleasant Hill; several nieces and nephews.
