Cook 27 Apr 1951 - Last rites for Charles C. Cook, 77, who was fatally struck by an automobile south of Florien about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday of last week, were held at Union Baptist church, near Florien, at 3 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Henry Chance, pastor, assisted by Rev. Hoye Harvey. Interment was under direction Warren funeral home. Pallbearers were Needham Sandel, Sam Berel, Allen Lewing, Doe O'Hara, Elmer Demitt and W. A. Jett. Surviving relatives include: sons, Sam Cook of Many, A. G. and Roy Cook, both of Florien; daughters, Mrs. Ethel Bridges of Florien, Mrs. W. A. Jett of Lake Charles, Mrs. Audrey Eason of Sparks, New.; sister, Mrs. Addie Self, Kirbyville, Texas; 26 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
