Larry Travis Cox 13 Jul 1951 - Final funeral rites for Sgt. Larry Travis Cox, 24, who died in action in Korea Sept. 5, 1950 were conducted at Many Methodist church 4 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Kenneth G. McDowell, pastor. Interment followed in Oak Grove cemetery under direction Warren funeral home. Military rites were conducted at the grave by a detail of Ray Miller post Veterans of Foreign Wars and the national guard. The body arrived in Many 3:03 p.m. Tuesday from Oakland, Calif., escorted by Pfc. William E. Rogers. Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Tommie Jean Daily Cox, and daughter, Miss Winona Jean Cox, both of Many; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Cox, Pleasant Hill, and sister, Mrs. Elbert Mitchell of Many.
