John Truman Cook 26 Oct 1951 - The body of Cpl. John Truman Cook, 26, who was killed in a truck accident on Okinawa Aug. 21 arrived in Many Tuesday at 3:03 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist church at Marthaville. The Rev. Cecil Salley officiated assisted by the Rev. Henderson. Arrangements were under the direction of Warren funeral home of Many, with military rites at the graveside. Cpl. Cook is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Cook, of Marthaville; brothers, Alva A. Cook of Lawtey, Fla., Jett H. Cook of Many, Wilie G. Cook and Harold Cook of Marthaville; one sister, Miss Evelyn Cook, of Marthaville.
