Hamp Cook

  Hamp Cook, 84, of Florien, died Monday, March 21, at 7 a.m.,
after a short illness.

  Services were held at the Antioch Baptist Church, Tuesday, March
22, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Don Nunley, and the Rev. Bryan Ray
officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Cook of Florien;
one son, James Altoc Cook of Florien; three daughters, Mrs. Marie
Anthony, and Mrs. Edna Melrovich, both of Florien, and Mrs.
Bernice Herrick of Shreveport; six grandchildren, and nine great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Howard Anthony, Tom Langton, Gerald Jordan,
Howard Blackwell, J. B. Salter, and Lester Savell.
