Mrs. Clare Webb Smith Cox

  Funeral services for Mrs. Clare Webb Smith Cox, 58, of Hanna,
were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, at Rockett-Nettles
Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta. The Rev. Billy Burkett
officiated. Burial was in Springville Cemetery in Coushatta.

  She died Friday, August 5, 1983, at Harmony House Nursing Home
in Shreveport, after a long illness.

  She is survived by her husband, Noah Alton Cox of Campti; two
sons, Noah Alton Cox, Jr. of Cockeysville, Md., and Kenneth
Michael Cox of Natchitoches; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Sue
Lawrence, and Mrs. Sandal Lorraine Nelson of New Orleans, Deborah
Lea Cox of Sandesjord, Norway; and one brother, Clarence H. Smith
of Hanna.

  Pallbearers were Robert W. Smith, Stanley W. Smith, C. H. Smith
Jr., Freddie Lee, Thomas Gates, and B. L. Crow.
