Cox, 38, were held at 10 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, at the Many Church of the Nazarene. Officiating at the service was his father-in-law, the Rev. Lowell Bell of Nancy, Kentucky, the Rev. Larry Norman, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Many, the Rev. Mack Brister, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Florien; and the Rev. C. M. Huff, pastor of the Many Nazarene Church. Interment followed in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Dr. Cox died at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, Sunday, March 3, following a two month illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rebecca Bell Cox of Many; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Cox of Many; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy Joe and Shirley Cox of Florien; one sister, Kimberly Ann Cox of Monroe; and a nephew, Joey Lance Cox of Natchitoches. Pallbearers included Robby Lang, Bo Chevallier, Ronnie Lewing, Dr. Roy Lee, Dr. Sien Oey, Dr. V. M. John, Dr. Donald Doussan, and Kenny LaBorde.
