Mr. James Alton Cook

  Mr. James Alton Cook, 75, passed away on December 19, 1993, at
Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Alexandria, La.

  Surviving relatives of Mr. Cook are one son, Gary Cook of
Pineville, La.; three sisters, Marie Anthony, and Edna
Melerovich, both of Florien, La., Bernice Herrick of Midland,
Texas; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of
friends.

  Services were held at Antioch Baptist Church on December 21,
1993. Interment was in Antioch Cemetery, with the Rev. D. E.
Privett, and the Rev. Jimmy Evans, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Lester Savell, Gordan Anthony, Garland Anthony,
Mike Anthony, Jamie Cook, Gerald Jordan.
