Funeral services were held at Zwolle First Baptist Church, with interment following at Zwolle Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Penfield officiated. Mrs. Chase taught elementary for 38 years in Sabine Parish. Survivors include her husband, Victor Woodrow Chase of Zwolle; one daughter, Linda Chase Ferguson and husband J. C. Ferguson Jr. of Frierson; two grandchildren, Honour Ferguson Zucco and husband Tony of Lansing, Kan., and Joe C. Ferguson III of Jacksonville, N. C.; great grandchild, Caitlin Chase Zucco of Lansing, Kan.; and four nieces, Sarah Teal, Eleanor Cottrell, Hazel Salisbury, and Cecil Walker; and three nephews. Don Ross, Andy Ross, and Ras Ritter. Mrs. Chase was preceded in death by her father, Preacher Ross; and mother, Louvera Stephens Ross; two brothers; and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Zwolle, to the Parsonage Fund. Pallbearers were Dr. J. Lane Sauls M.D., Dennis Bishop, Calvin Jones, Dr. Richard Oosta M.D., Richard Hunter, and Gary Walsh. Honorary pallbearers were Jim, and Kathon Graves, Lois Salter, and James and Verlyn Salter.
