Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 25, at United Pentecostal Church in Many, with interment following at Florien Cemetery. The Rev. Cecil Boswell, the Rev. M. C. Green, and the Rev. C. J. Walea officiated. Mr. Cook was the founder and operator of Cook's Auto Salvage in Sabine Parish. Survivors include his widow, Opal Cook of Florien; seven sons, Roy Cook Jr. and wife Loretha of Ragley, Harold Cook and wife Gwen, James Cook and wife Thelma, Joe Don Cook and wife Kathy, all of Many, Ralph Cook and wife Cheryl, David Cook and wife Carolyn, and Danny Cook, all of Florien; two daughters, Sharon Cook Calhoun and husband DeWayne, and Carolyn Cook Caldas and husband Arthur, both of Florien; one brother, Sam Cook of Many; one sister, Audrey Eason of Rio Dell, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by two grandsons, Wayne, and Bronson Cook. Pallbearers were Stanley Cook, Wendell Cook, Bryan Cook, Wade Cook, Brant Cook, ? Bounds, Raymond Caldas, and Rickey Arthur. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Arthur, Jeremy Cook, Colby Cook, Delbert Cook, Derrell Cook, and Randy Harrington. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Many, La.
