Officiating was the Rev. Randy Johnson, pastor of Berean Baptist Temple. Burial was in Old Chapel Cemetery near Coushatta. Arrangements were under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. He died at 3 a.m., Sunday, May 23, 1983, at L. S. U. Hospital, following a sudden illness. Mr. Castie, a native of Shreveport, was a roofer with Ballard Roofing, and had resided in Shreveport for the past ten years. He was Baptist affiliated. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marilyn Castie of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Gladys Castie, also of Shreveport; one son, Jeff Castie of Shreveport; two daughters, Jacqueline Castie, and Cathy Castie, all of Shreveport; one sister, Tammy Castie of Shreveport; five brothers, Albert Castie, Jimmy Castie, and Charles Castie, all of Shreveport, Jerry Castie of Zwolle, and Glenn Parrie of San Diego, Calif. Pallbearers were Joe Davis, Mike Lopez, Gary Woodard, David Woodard, Mike Guy, and Jerry Bufkin.
