All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Bertha Cassell 12 Jul 1940 -Funeral services were held for Mrs. Bertha Cassell Friday, July 5, Revs. Isgitt, Baggett and Lilley officiated and burial was in the Cassel cemetery under the direction of Druett funeral home. Mrs. Cassel had been in ill health for several months. Surviving are two sons, Zeb of Pelican and Bethel of Converse; four sisters, Mrs. Bula Winfree, and Mrs. Ethel Cassel of Converse, Mrs. S. M. Norwood of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Mrs. J. F. Ford of New Harmony, Ind.; two brothers, L. D. and W. H. Boyd of Converse. Pallbearers were: J. P. Cassel, T. H. Cassel, Roy Boyd of Converse and Leon Boyd of Bernice, all nephews of the deceased, and Henry Raimond of Converse and Walter Ford of Houma.
