All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Ike Leon Cassel Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, for Ike Leon Cassel, 50, 2565 Midway St., who died Saturday, Nov. 12, after a brief illness, in the P & S Hospital. The Rev. M. David Felder, pastor of Morningside Methodist Church, officiated at the services, and burial was in Forest Park, with Masonic rites conducted at graveside. Mr. Cassel was a member of the Morningside Methodist Church, Queensborough Lodge No. 418 A&AM, El Karubah Temple, Neath Lodge No. 21 I.O.O.F., Queen Esther Rebecca Lodge No. 14, Steam Fitters and Plumbers Local No. 141, and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Joe W. Cassel, George Cassel, and Robert Cassel, all of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. George Greer of Shreveport; two stepsons, W. D. Crain of Houston, Tex., and V. J. Crain, U.S. Air Force, Japan; two brothers, R. D. Cassel of Converse, and J. B. Cassel of Smackover, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Opal Talbot of Mansfield, Mrs. Archie Palmer of Altus, Ark., and Mrs. George Moore, Wray, Colo.; and two grandsons. Pallbearers include T. D. Wallace, R. F. Baten, Bob Mannies, Roy Buford, P. O. McLaughlin, and Howard Holyfield.
