Mrs. Josephine Chism

  Mrs. Josephine Melvinnie Chism, 77, of Florien, died in Many on
Monday, March 25, at 11:15 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Mrs. Chism is survived by three sons, Billy Chism of Many,
Buster Chism of Florien, and Lester Chism of the U. S. Air Force;
three daughters, Louvina Salter, Willie Mae Ford, and Rosa
Sandel, all of florien; a sister, Modenia Fults of Houston, Tex.,
22 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Gandy Baptist Church on
Wednesday, March 27, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Elton Mitchell,
and the Rev. C. H. Welch officiating.

  Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
