William E. Chism

  Last rites for William E. Chism, age 66, who died April 6, was
conducted at Gandy Baptist Church at 10 a.m., April 8th, with
Rev. Elton Mitchell, Kenneth Leach, and C. H. Welch officiating.
Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Jackie Thompson, Louis Newman, Oscar Ford, Carl
Chism, J. C. Savell, and Johnson Sandel.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. W. E. Chism of Florien; mother,
Mrs. L. E. Chism of Ferris, Texas; sons, William Thomas, and W.
E. Chism Jr., both of Florien, Lester Chism of the U. S. Army,
Germany; daughters, Mrs. Luvinia Salter, Mrs. Willie Mae Ford,
and Mrs. Rosie Bell Sandel, all of Florien; brothers, Alonzo
Chism of Jefferson, Texas, Odell Chism of Florien; sisters, Mrs.
Viola Watson of Ferris, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and one great
grandchild.
