All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Jack Cochran 6 Oct 1939 - Jack Cochran, a native son of Sabine, who was employed in a CCC camp at Fresno, Cal., passed away on the 20th ultimo, at the age of 22 years and five months. His body was returned home for burial and the funeral occurred on the 25th ultimo, interment being made in the Beulah cemetery, CCC boys from Pleasant Hill cam acting as pallbearers and Rev. Barney Flanagan officiating as minister, and the funeral directed by Denis-Green funeral home. Jack was to have been discharged on Sept. 26th and expected to return immediately to his home. He leaves several brothers an sisters besides a host of friends to mourn his seemingly untimely passing, to whom this paper extends sympathy.
