Services were held Sunday, October 29, at 2 p.m., at Edward Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Joe Carter officiating. Burial was at Colmesneil Cemetery. Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Auoria Mae Cochran; sons, Omer Ray Cochran Jr. of Galveston, Texas, Raymon Cochran of Pasadena, Texas, and Ronald Cochran of Kilgore, Texas; daughter, Regina Vaughn of Joaquin, and Roxanne Kent of Greenville, Texas; brothers, Henry Cochran of Henderson, Texas. Mr. Cochran is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Vernon Tarver, Lloyd Deleno, Bernie Bankston, James Young, L. T. Deleno, and Roger Foxworth. Mr. Cochran was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Cochran was a resident of Colmesneil for 16 years, and previously of Galveston, where he was Assistant Chief of the Galveston Fire Department.
