Mrs. John E. Cates

  Mrs. John Elbert Cates, 85, of Noble, died Saturday, July 31, in
a Many hospital, after a long illness.

  The funeral was at 4 p.m., Monday, in Noble Pentecostal Church,
with the Rev. Jerry Green officiating. Burial was in Sardis
Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of
Mansfield.

  Survivors include her husband; one son, Raleigh Cates of Ada,
Okla.; four daughters, Mrs. Eloise York of Shreveport, Mrs.
Clydie Moritz of Converse, Mrs. Sue Rapasky of Bridge City, Tex.,
and Mrs. Lee Autry of Houston, Tex.; one brother, Lester Tatum of
Many; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
