Bill Y. Coats

  Services for Bill Y. Coats, 15, of Shreveport, were held at 11
a.m., Saturday, May 16, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside
Chapel. The Rev. Joe Aulds, pastor of Pinecroft Baptist Church,
officiated. Burial was in the Forest Parks West Cemetery,
Shreveport.

  He died at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, at Cypress Lake, as the
result of a drowning accident.

  Bill was a native of Amarillo, Tx., a resident of Shreveport for
6 years, Freshman at Southwood High School and member of
Pinecroft Baptist Church.

  Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coats of
Shreveport, grandparents, Bernice Coats of Pleasant Hill, Margie
Pruett of Amarillo, Tx.; four sisters, Cynthia Baucom, and Candy
Guinn, both of Amarillo, Tx.; Denise McCarter, Midland, Tx., and
Melody Coats of Shreveport.

  Pallbearers were Tod Hester, Carl Grubbs, Eddie Fouts, Mike
Stewart, Chris Russell, James Hunt, Bryan Jackson, and Paul
Jackson.
