Bernice Coats

  Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Coats, 71, of Pleasant Hill,
were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at the Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church. The Rev. D. J. Weed officiated. Burial was in
Ajax Cemetery, under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral
Home in Coushatta, La.

  She is survived by six daughters, Jean Brown of Orange, Texas,
Frances Wilson of Vidor, Texas. Patricia Moore of Highlands,
Texas, Ella Sanders of Beaumont, Texas, Gladys Thompson of Van,
Texas, and Nelda Reynolds of Mansfield, La.; three sons, Bill
Coats of Shreveport, Douglas Coats of Benson, La., and Johnny
Coats; nineteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two
half sisters, and five half brothers.

  Pallbearers were sons-in-law, and grandsons.
