Betty Charlene Cates

  Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Charlene Cates, 66, were held
at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 1993, at Oak Grove Cemetery in
Mitchell, La., under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home. Officiating was Rev. Roy Mouser.

  Mrs. Cates died August 4, 1993, at Sabine Medical Center in
Many.

  She is survived by her husband, James Cates of Converse, La.;
three daughters, Charlotte Cates of Galveston, Tex., Catherine
Johnson of Spring, Tex., Carolyn Johnson of Pleasant Hill, La.;
one son, Tommy Cates of Iowa, La.; one sister, Frances Richardson
of Silsbee, Tex.; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and
nephews.
