James Thomas Cates, Jr.

  Funeral services for James Thomas Cates Jr., 74, of Galveston,
Texas, were held at 10 a.m., on November 21.

  Visitation was at the Zwolle Branch of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  The Rev. Carl Munion officiated. Burial was in the Oak Grove
Cemetery in Mitchell, La., under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Cates died in Galveston, Tex., on November 17.

  Survivors are three daughters, Charlotte Cates of Galveston,
Tex., Catherine Johnson of Spring, Tex., and Carolyn Johnson of
Pleasant Hill; one son, James Thomas Cates III of New Iberia; and
eight grandchildren.
