James Thomas Cates, Jr.

  Graveside services for James Thomas Cates Jr., 74, of Galveston,
Texas, were held at 10 a.m., in Nov. 21.

  The Rev. Carl Munion officiated. Burial was in the Oak Grove
Cemetery in Mitchell, La., under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Cates died in Galveston on Nov. 17.

  Survivors are one son, James Thomas Cates III of New Iberia; and
eight grandchildren.
