Mrs. Ellie Cates

  Mrs. Ellie Cates, 96, died in a Mansfield hospital, after a
lengthy illness, on Dec. 21.

  Services were held Dec. 23, in the Bethel Methodist Church, with
the Rev. Foster Jennings officiating. Burial was in the Zion Rest
Cemetery.

  Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. T. W. Daskertile Jr. of Minden;
one son, John Cates of Pelican; two brothers, J. B. Ryan, and B.
W. Ryan, both of Pelican.
