Y. W. Cheatwood

  Y. W. Cheatwood, 58, of Negreet, formerly of Natchitoches, died
Sunday, May 13, 1984, at Schumpert Medical Center. Services were
Tuesday, May 15, at 2 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in
Natchitoches. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Earl Marr, and
Rev. Elton Mitchell officiated.

  Survivors include wife, Lavell H. Cheatwood of Negreet; four
sons, Jerry, Kevin, and Kenneth of Negreet, and David of New
Orleans; two daughters, Linda Carmane of Natchitoches, and Bonnie
Womack of Shreveport.

  Also surviving are seven brothers, Alfred Land Cheatwood of Dry
Prong, Elton Lee, and Roy Lee Cheatwood of Natchitoches, Ebie Lee
Cheatwood, and Leonard M. Cheatwood of Castor, Donnie Ray
Cheatwood of Jonesboro, Lee Quitman Cheatwood of Colfax. Also
surviving, four sisters, Louvenia Ammons, and Margaret L.
Shumaker of Colfax, Eva Plunkett, and Marie Dietrich, both of
Natchitoches. There are also 12 grandchildren; and 3 step
grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Blanchard-St.
Denis Funeral Home.
