Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 27, in Beulah Methodist Church near Marthaville, with the Reverends J. P. King, Dean Crittenden, and Jerry Penfield officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Survivors include nine sons, Joab Cotton of Jacksonville, North Carolina, James Cotton of Many, Brandon Cotton, and Daniel Cotton, both of Robeline, Theodore Cotton of Bossier City, Ray Cotton of Bridge City, Texas, Curtis Cotton, and Jack Cotton, both of Keithville, and Joey Cotton of Clovis, New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Jo Evelyn Miller of Robeline, and Mrs. Elizabeth Leach of Vinton; one brother, Myrtle Davis of Robeline; 37 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and 24 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dock Cotton, Tom Cotton, Marvin Davis, Billy Weeks, Stanley Woodel, and Mike Birdwell.
