All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Lovie Gertrude Cotton (Photo) Mrs. Lovie Gertrude Cotton, 87, a lifelong resident of Many, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, after a sudden illness. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at Alford Heights Baptist Church, with interment following at Fort Jesup Cemetery. The Rev. Glenn Flenniken, and the Rev. Dean Crittenden officiated. Mrs. Cotton was a member of Alford Heights Baptist Church, and was a retired telephone operator, after 30 years of service with South Central Bell. Survivors include her husband, James C. Cotton of Many; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Cotton was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" Key and Gertrude Key; two brothers, Clarence, and Orville Key; and one sister, Mathel DeLatin. Pallbearers were Tommy Key, Seth Key, Michael Miller, Pat Miller, Randy Leach, and Gary Miller. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
