Cole, 59, of Many, died Saturday, Dec. 9, after a short illness. Mrs. Cole was a retired school teacher, retiring after 30 years of teaching. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m., at the Many First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Perry Lassiter officiating. Burial was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Emory Williams, Horace Tompkins, Maston Wright, W. E. Hayes, Bob Lowery, and Lee Jordan. Survivors include her husband, F. E. Cole of Many; one son, Bob Cole of Many; one daughter, Miss Sally Beth Cole of Many; three brothers, Glen Phares of Many, Mr. Ross Phares of Shreveport, and Mr. J. J. Phares of Fullerton, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
