Cole was born to the late Mrs. Lessie Staton Cole, and Mr. Robert Cole on Jan. 1, 1921, in Village Mills, Tex. He departed this life on Dec. 5, 1985. He was married to Mrs. Lovell Holmes Cole on Dec. 1, 1943. To this union, five children were born. He served his country in World War II. Services were held at St. John Baptist Church in Zwolle, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1985, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Harrison Fields officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Memory, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary. He leaves to mourn his passing, a faithful loving wife; five children, Miss Lena Faye Cole, Mr. James Edward Cole, and Mr. Ben Casey Cole, all of Zwolle, Mr. Curtis Lee Cole of El Paso, Tex., and Mr. Thomas Earl Cole of Landover, Maryland; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Ann Frazier of Many, and Mrs. Sarah Roberts of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers included Gary Perry, Samuel L. Beasley Sr., Arnold Staton, Marvin Frazier, Merlon Johnson, Allen Perry III, Billy Aldredge, and Bobby Perry. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Earl Cole, James Edward Cole, Curtis Lee Cole, and Ben Casey Cole.
