Carmel Baptist Church for Mrs. Mattie Vivian Cole with the Rev. Earl Marr and Rev. Carl Tubbs officiating. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Warren Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Cole was fatally injured in a car accident near Fisher Tuesday morning. Survivors: Husband, Mr. Sam Cole of Florien, 2 sons, Buford Cole of Many, Olin Cole of Maplewood, four daughters, Mrs. Spencer Armour of Silsby, Mrs. James Corley of Houston, Mrs. Jimmy May of Many, Mrs. Raymond Sparks of Florien, four brothers, J. R. Ricks and W. A. Ricks of Florien, Oscar Ricks of Mansfield, Estes Ricks of Derby, Kansas, two sisters Miss Effie Ricks of Florien and Mrs. Willie Mae Bolton, Shreveport, 6 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Maurice Westfall, Bud Robinson, Herbert Leach, Tim Lyddy, Wingate Dowden, Randolph Thomas.
